I’m finally moved.

Let me just say “yay” for a moment.

I’ve had a lot more activity on my Tumblr blog, only because there’s a massive community on there that I reblog from.

So.

I have my cable and internet turned on.

My office is (somewhat) set up.  I have the desk set up, my computer on it, and the cabling taken care of.  Desk lamp, printer, all that jazz… BUT, I still have to organize some stuff that I haven’t gotten to yet.

The TV stuff is set up.  My kitchen is set up.  My bedroom is set up.

It’s perfect.

I just need some artwork to put on the walls, and I’m thinking of buying some more canvases and painting them so I have something to hang.  Some stuff with color, and abstract.  But that’s a lot of work right now… maybe after things settle.  I can work on them over my week break for the holidays, maybe.

Pictures will be forthcoming once I get the office settled more and my artwork done.

Whoo-hoo!  I’ve waited for this for a long time.

Randomness…

Sorry for the really crappy title, but I have a lot of random stuff to go over in this post.

Let’s start at the top:

  • Work is good.  I’ve been learning a lot of new things.  I haven’t yet gone out to lunch, but then again, there’s not much around there.  I got my first paycheck today ($$ *squee*) and it’ll be deposited Monday (thanks, Mom!!).
  • My fanfic has been worked on!  Yes, for all my regular fanfic readers, I have actually been working on my ILM fic.  Right now, it’s posted over at my deviantArt page but here’s a direct link as well.  It will be posted up on fanfiction dot net when I’m closer to being done.
  • My fanart got taken down from dA.  *sigh*  I didn’t attribute well enough, and got slammed.  It’s kinda detailed on my journal over there…  It’s all back up though and properly attributed.

Whew.  Been busy lately.  It’s insane, and I don’t think it’s going to slow down anytime soon.  I keep waking up insanely early on the weekend.

Feh.

I’m going to watch some TV now, and maybe write more later…  I hope to have my fanfic done by the end of next weekend.  *grin*

I upgraded my deviantArt account. Squee!

My fanfic is moving along. I don’t have anything new to post, but I’ve been working on some new ideas. Let’s hope I can get this done soon. Heh. I love it though.

Pidgin, Art, etc…

K.  New Pidgin out.  Must.  Have.  New.  Version.

But, I apparently need some sort of gtk+ 2.0 development headers.  *searches repos*  Can’t find (granted, it’s like 10:30 pm when I try this…).  So… I try to compile without the gtk stuff (only finch).  That doesn’t work either.  Gah.

Now, I’m currently getting the 2.2.0 (current version is 2.2.1) version from getdeb.  Now, don’t be all “but getdeb isn’t the right way to install…”.  I.  Don’t.  Care.  Compiling this thing is gonna be a migraine for me, so I’m going with the deb version.

Apparently this new version has myspaceIM.  Cool, but I’m not sure I want myspaceIM.  Although, it’s better than having to run the version put out by myspace.  :-P

There’s also some sort of error with this version and MSN.  I don’t allow random people to add me, so it shouldn’t be a problem.

Oh, I totally know this is late, but I got this from her last week.  It’s awesome, and I’m gonna try to have one of my friends frame it.  :)  Yahoo!  She also sent me a ring she made with GilxSara stamped on it… I’m gonna make a cording for it so I can wear it.  I had bought a chain for it, but it just didn’t seem to work for me.

Now, I’m just waiting for my Phoenix Wright game to be sent.  I ordered it through GameStop and I’ll be getting a free(!) PW plushie!  I’m sending it to Wolfie cuz I promised her.  She wanted it, and besides lack of funds, I think it was only good for people in the US.  Stupid terms and conditions…

It’s not sent til Oct 23, so I’m not holding my breath…

Artwork and deviantArt

Well… The photos came back today. I’ve gotta crop them and stuff, but they should be up on dA by today or tomorrow. It’s on my to-do list, really!

I hope they look decent. I could have tried to scan them in and put them together, but I think the camera is easier. We got a Kodak CD thingy so I don’t have to scan the buggers into my computer first.

I’m thinking about getting a digital camera.

In other news, I’ve been doing some serious browsing over on deviantArt,  I had grabbed a few backgrounds and had forgotten to fav them.  (It’s basically so if I do a screenshot, I won’t get smacked by someone cuz I grabbed their stuff.)  Anyway my faves page is getting bigger.  I’ve found a tonnage of sweet Harry Potter stuff. 

If you wanna grab the stuff that’s on my faves page, feel free.  Just don’t modify it or anything.  And, if you’re a member of dA, then fav what you grab.

I’ve been going through my art that I’ve done through the years (mostly high school) and I found some stuff I thought would be nice to post.

Most of it is going to be through pictures (photographs) as it’s too big to fit on the bed of my scanner. I like to work big, I guess…

This idea came about from wolfself, last night when we were chatting about art and stuff that we’ve done in the past. So, I thought I’d post some of it.

I didn’t realize what a large body of work I had, until I started to go through it. I have pastel drawings, pencil drawings… Some paintings. Most of my stuff is in color (I love color).

I have a tonnage of block prints. Some are linoleum and some are lithograph.

Well, once I get the prints back, my artwork will be up on dA. Til then, I’m uploading two that fit on the bed of my scanner.

Take a look over there and feel free to comment on my stuff.  Keep in mind that it’s OLD (high school) but it’s my favorite work from that time.
